You be you. I’ll be me… That’s the way I’ve been hearing it in my spirit for months now. Here’s one way the Bible says it:
“Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches.” 1 Corinthians 7:17
As a five-fold leader in the Church, I should be encouraging you to become who you are, not to simply serve the needs of my ministry. Serving others definitely fulfills a purpose and it often leads you to realize who you are and who you are not. But, in the process, if I do not encourage you to lead the life that God has assigned to you, called you to, and spoken to you about, then I have failed you as a leader.
You must be you. You need to be you. You can only be honest with God if you are true to who you are.
