Prophets Are Like Living Mortar

by

Prophets are like living mortar in the foundation, like concrete flowing and filling in the gaps and crevices; strengthening and molding the pieces together into one fortified wall. Without the prophet, the foundations become weakened and unstable.

In the New Covenant, a prophet’s ultimate mission is the same as everyone else’s: we are all ministers of reconciliation. Because of that, it’s sometimes difficult to allow yourself to be pulled out and allow things to fall apart. But sometimes as a prophet, you must be willing to stop holding up that which God has decided shall fall.

Nehemiah listened to the word of the Lord and restored the wall that was fallen; but don’t forget, those walls first fell at the word of the Lord. Prophets may see beyond time, but they must operate within time. You release now what God says is to be released now. If today the wall falls, tomorrow it rises. Speak true to what God says today so tomorrow may come.
