God often gives us the guidance we need as we go.
The go of the gospel gives all believers a green light to move forward at full speed, to take chances, to explore opportunities, to demonstrate the kingdom and declare the good news of Christ. But, sometimes God does give you a red light—and when He does, it is automatic permission to explore a different direction.
“And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.’ … So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.” (Mark 16:15, 19-20)
“And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them. So, passing by Mysia, they went down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him and saying, ‘Come over to Macedonia and help us.’ And when Paul had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go on into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.” (Acts 16:6-10)
