Like A Boss: How To Take Dominion

by

“You’ve got to be like a boss.” That’s how I’ve successfully explained it to both of my boys at a young age. To rule and reign with Christ over sickness, disease, and all the works of the devil, you’ve got to be like a boss in the spirit. It’s a simplified way to illustrate what it looks like to take dominion the way God intends.

There are many Biblical methods of healing, because healing isn’t the result of a method — it’s the result of dominion. In order to take authority over sickness, disease, and all the works of the devil (Act. 10:38), you must be established in your faith in God and assured of His consistent will.

A Lineage Of Dominion

“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” Joh. 1:12-13

“for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.” Gal. 3:26

God is the ultimate boss. Jesus is the King of other kings (1Ti. 6:15, Rev. 19:16), which is you and I. When we were born again, we were given authority to become ruling sons of God by His own will. It was His idea, because He is restoring mankind back to the original mandate that He gave us: to take dominion and make it on earth as it is in heaven. We were born again into the lineage of ultimate dominion.

Dominion Is Key

Whether you minister the anointing, which is the power of God present for purpose, or you minister under the authority of the King, dominion is the common denominator for releasing His abundant life over all circumstances (Joh. 10:10). Taking dominion is the key.

Actually, taking dominion is good, but living from dominion is best. You’re not being “like a boss” because you take dominion once. That is the first step. But to become Christ-like, you must mature into a lifestyle of dominion. You need to live like a king who rules regardless of how they feel. You need to realize that in Christ, you have unswerving dominion.

What Dominion Looks Like

You have been commissioned by God to enforce the rule of the King; empowered to enforce the dominion of Christ. You have been entrusted with the task of making it on earth the way it is in heaven. You have dominion in every way. You must act like it until you are fully convinced of it.

Dominion doesn’t ask — it commands.

Dominion doesn’t complain about circumstances — it rearranges them.

Dominion isn’t about shouting or getting dramatic. It’s a knowing, confident attitude that not only expects results, but demands them.

Dominion never backs down — it compels forward against all odds.

Dominion is being “like a boss.”

  1. I like the confidence of KNOWING that we have and can confidently take dominion because of Who GOD is! Therefore the only drama that happens is the change that comes about and the atmosphere of Heaven that pervades! We can call light and healing and love into the situation because God has already provided it! YES!

  2. Jeremy, right on! I just went through 6 weeks of grueling major abdominal surgeries, complications, etc. I am now in the process of rebuilding my strength. You have touched the heart of God on this. One of the things I knew immediately in the hospital, I must not have any guile, nothing.. I must see as Christ, I must act as Christ, I must rest in Him and trust Him, and as I faltered, HE sent me worship and prayer warriors, HE sent me Love and Peace through His Saints. He filled me with peace. Love to you and the family. Diana
